The Sensory Style Session
For professional women who have run out of explanations.
You have been tired in a way that does not match your workload. You have been blaming the usual things. Sleep. Stress. Age. Hormones. The state of the world. Those answers are close enough to feel right but they never quite fit. You are not in crisis, but you know things could be better.
Sensory processing falls on a continuum from sensory sensitivity to sensory seeking, with predictably different ways of taking in and interpreting sensory information. The Sensory Style Archetype Quiz is a clinically informed tool for identifying where you land on that continuum and how you keep yourself regulated.
Your sensory processing system is the quiet machinery running underneath every workday. The fabric against your skin. The sound of the room. The weight of what you are wearing. All of it is input your body has to absorb. Most of it has never been examined. All of it is costing you or feeding you.
Burnout is the symptom. Sensory friction is the cause. And the first environment costing you is the one you put on this morning.
One session. Three pieces.
Your sensory processing is not a mood, a phase, or a bad week. It is a lifelong, stable, neurological trait. Knowing yours is the starting point for every decision you make about what you put on your body.
Sensory processing falls on a continuum from sensory sensitivity to sensory seeking, and there are predictably different ways people take in sensory information. The Sensory Style Archetype Quiz identifies your tendencies across four clinically informed archetypes so you have a better understanding of what you need for optimal performance. You will receive your archetype result and a condensed preview of your profile the moment you finish. An expanded written breakdown follows afterward.
The full version of what the quiz previews. A written breakdown of how your profile shows up across your week, what it has been quietly costing you, and five immediate changes you can test on your own before we speak. Delivered by email within 24 hours of booking so you arrive at the call with the language already in place.
A structured Google Meet call where we translate your profile into action. We walk through your goals, identify sensory challenges in your current way of dress, and build your understanding of what your sensory system needs so you are regulated throughout the day and have more mental clarity for what matters to you. You leave with your own working map for getting dressed in a way that feeds your performance instead of depleting it.
Four profiles. One is yours.
The Overloaded Achiever
You have always been the one who could carry more than most without showing the cost. Something has shifted recently that you cannot quite name, and the usual explanations (age, hormones, workload) feel close enough to believe without ever being exactly right.
The Optimizer
You have optimized everything else in your life with the same rigor you bring to your work. Some outfits make you sharper and others leave you quietly flat, and you have never had the language to explain why.
The Endurer
You feel things other people walk right past, like the seam inside the shoe or the waistband that starts to bind by 11am. You have pushed through all of it because looking right mattered more than feeling good, and the cost of that decision has been quietly accumulating on your body for years.
The Curator
You have been called particular, fussy, or high-maintenance your whole professional life. Every accommodation you have quietly built (the preferred seat, the cut tags, the wardrobe rules you made up on your own) is evidence your body has been telling you something specific for years.

Common Questions.
Those tools are excellent but reactive. They help you return to baseline after the friction has already accumulated. Sensory work sits upstream of that. It addresses the input before dysregulation builds, at the level where your body is processing sensation before language or thought. Nervous system regulation strategies are a great tool to have in your tool box because we cannot control everything that happens to us. My goal is to help you live more regulated day to day so you can focus more on things you care about and less on managing ambiguous stress and endless fatigue. My approach to nervous system regulation does not take an hour out of your day to achieve, is relatively low-effort, non-medical, and has high return on investment.
Absolutely. Most of the women I work with have not outright identified themselves as sensory sensitive or sensory seeking. Humans are incredibly good at finding reasons for discomfort, and women in particular are good at blaming themselves for it. Sensory processing as a field is mostly oriented toward children and clinical settings, which is part of why adults do not have the language to name the sensory friction in their lives. Regardless of your sensory style archetype, you wear clothes every day to work and that creates a work environment on your skin. The fashion industry is flooded with fast fashion and cost-cutting materials that are not conducive to wear for a full work day. Architects and corporate designers know the benefit of this work. You are only just finding out, and I would love to work with you.
No. This is not a style consultation and you are not going to walk away being told to buy all new clothes. We start with what your goals are for the session. If you want to replace pieces you have, we will go from there. If you want to work with what you have, we will discuss how to counterbalance the pieces that create the most friction for you. You will receive information about fabric and construction details to look for while shopping. The goal is not to change your style or taste but to give you knowledge to build a sensory ergonomic wardrobe.
This service is complete on its own. If you want to go deeper or make changes beyond your wardrobe, this summer I will start offering packages that include assessments for each of your individual senses, audits of your work and home environment, and practical information about how your sensory profile impacts not just your work but every aspect of how you interact with the world, including your loved ones. Digital downloads will be added regularly as well.
Burnout is the symptom. Sensory friction is the cause.
The first place to listen is the environment closest to your skin. One conversation is where it starts.
